The Ninety Nine Mine is a documented mineral property, located in the Good-springs Mining District of southern Nevada.
Featuring an inclined shaft, with two adit portals connecting four underground levels and over seven hundred feet of underground stock workings.
Originally located in 1903, the Ninety Nine had been worked primarily as a Copper mine in the early days, with large cars of mineral ore shipped by rail to aid the efforts of both WW1 and WW2.
During the 1940s, secondary deposits of ore, rich in a Silver-dominated Galena/malachite matrix that also carried Gold, Nickel, Copper, and other precious metals were located, though only Copper was processed due to the War act.
In 1946 the mine closed its doors as federal defense contracts for Copper were no longer active.
